BridgeClimb Sydney provides access to the arches of the Sydney Harbour Bridge for various types of media and welcomes requests from any WYD08 accredited media organisations to access the location for their WYD08 related photographic or filming purposes. 

What is a MediaClimb?

Every day, BridgeClimb Sydney host media organisations from across the globe on tailored Climbs of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to capture Sydney and this unique experience.

Can I take camera equipment on a MediaClimb?

Whilst BridgeClimb’s regular customers are unable to take cameras with them on the bridge, media that fulfil all of BridgeClimb’s requirements are permitted to climb with cameras. The information needed by BridgeClimb to determine suitability is outlined in BridgeClimb's Media Conditions at http://www.bridgeclimb.com/aboutUs/media/mediaconditions.htm. BridgeClimb have specific equipment designed for the safe carriage of media equipment on the Bridge.

How long will a MediaClimb take?

A MediaClimb will take a minimum of 1 ½ hours (this might not necessarily be to the summit of the Bridge), however many media are inspired by the surroundings once on the arches and choose to make the most of the opportunity taking up to 3 ½ hours (from check-in to Climb completion).

Who can participate in a MediaClimb?

MediaClimbs between 14 to 20 July 2008, will only be accessible to WYD08 accredited media. All participants in a MediaClimb must have accreditation and show their photo identification before being permitted to climb. BridgeClimb reserves the right to deny access to the arches of the Bridge to any media if there is any doubt regarding the legitimacy of the visit.

How do I organise a MediaClimb?

Please telephone (02) 9240 1141 and you will be asked to agree to and provide information as outlined in BridgeClimb's Media Conditions. The form can also be downloaded and completed directly from the BridgeClimb website (http://www.bridgeclimb.com/aboutUs/media/mediaconditions.htm). All information must be provided and meet BridgeClimb’s requirements prior to access being granted.

            There are a number of MediaClimbs operating daily however it is recommended media apply to BridgeClimb at least 12 hours prior to their requested Climb time.
